How to stay CALM

Leading up to your wedding you may experience a lot of high pressured events. For example your catering company booked you for a Fillet Mignon dinner rather than the Salmon meal that your mother-in-law demanded. Or your bridesmaid painted her nails ‘Something Sweet’ rather than ‘Go Go Pink’. When things like this happen DON'T FRET! Before you let any of these problems affect you, make sure that you are being healthy at all times; eat healthy, get a lot of rest, fit in time to relax and stay sane! Drink a glass of wine here or there. Take some Yoga or Pilate's to find your Zen.

Besides feeling extra beautiful on your special (wedding) day, leading a healthy life helps one deal with stressful events. After you make sure that you are leading a healthy lifestyle some of the following tips can be helpful for when problems arise. The first thing you should do is:

(1) Take a deep breath- count to ten if you have to- Take a few minutes to regain your stability.

(2)Then remove yourself from the situation-- remember what is important here. It is YOUR wedding day! You are in all control!

(3) Next you should stop what you are doing! Go do something to clear your mind, something that makes you happy.

(4) Last but not least, stay positive! Don’t surround yourself with negative energy. Spend time with friends and family who will encourage you and keep your mind in high spirits.

Remember your wedding is an event that you will remember for the rest of your life, fill your memories with positive events rather than negative ones. The chance that everything you planned will happen perfectly is not likely, but that doesn’t mean that the memory you have of your wedding day doesn’t have to be perfect.
